Aim and scope:
Cuba Arqueológica. Revista digital de Arqueología de Cuba y el Caribe is an independent digital publication, of open access and non-profit; it is of a scientific nature and is directed to researchers, professors and students. Its primary objective is the dissemination of the development of archaeological science, of patrimony and kindred sciences in Cuba and the Caribbean, with a section dedicated to the rest of Latin America.
The magazine publishes original texts which are reviewed by the Editorial Committee and then are submitted for evaluation by peers in the form of blind reviews, whereby the anonymity of both parties (authors and evaluators) is guaranteed.
The magazine has a biannual frequency, with a first issue covering the months from January to June, and a second issue covering the months from August to December. In addition to the two regular issues, monographic-special issues are published, without a specific frequency.
All the contents of the magazine are of open access, therefore we have signed the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), taking into account that all users shall be permitted to “read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or use them with any legal purpose, without any financial, legal or technical obstacles”.
